This is the LAST working session before the showcase. There are no new designs today — just polishing, checking, and preparing to present.
Write 3 final goals for this sprint:
Goal 1
Write your first goal here...
Goal 2
Write your second goal here...
Goal 3
Write your third goal here...
Goal 1 — completed
Goal 2 — completed
Goal 3 — completed
2 Portfolio Completeness Check
Go through your portfolio and tick off every page that is done and looking good:
Page 1: Cover page (game title, your name, date)
Page 2: Characters (hero, enemy, collectible with descriptions)
Page 3: Game World (background design)
Page 4: Level Design (complete level with game pieces)
Page 5: Level Walkthrough (numbered player path)
Page 6: Title Screen
Page 7: Gameplay Screen (HUD)
Page 8: Game Over Screen
Page 9: How to Play Screen
Page 10: Game Flow (flowchart)
Page 11: Sound Plan (from L14)
Page 12: How My Game Works (from Sprint 3)
Missing a page? You have 30 minutes — focus on the most important missing pieces first! It is better to have fewer pages that look great than many pages that look rushed.
3 Fix and Polish
You have 30 minutes for this section. Use this time to make everything look its best.
Fill in any missing pages from the checklist above
Fix spelling mistakes on every page
Fix layout problems — make sure nothing is overlapping or cut off
Make sure all pages look consistent — same fonts, same colours, same style
Add page numbers or a table of contents on page 2
Ask your teacher or a classmate to quickly look through your portfolio. A fresh pair of eyes can spot things you might have missed.
4 Prepare Your Pitch
Write a 30-second pitch that explains your game quickly and clearly:
My 30-Second Pitch
Fill in the blanks to create your pitch:
My game is called ___. It is a ___ game where you ___. The coolest thing about my game is ___.
Now practise:
Say your pitch out loud — practice 1
Say your pitch out loud — practice 2
Say your pitch out loud — practice 3
Practice your pitch with your partner. Time it — aim for 30 seconds. Not too fast, not too slow. Your partner should be able to understand your game after hearing the pitch.
5 Peer Review
Share your portfolio with 2 different classmates (not your usual partner). Ask them for honest feedback.
Classmate 1 Feedback
They liked: ___
They suggested: ___
Classmate 2 Feedback
They liked: ___
They suggested: ___
Now make final adjustments based on their feedback. You do not need to change everything — just the things that make sense to you.
