  • I have voted in at least 3 award categories.
  • My final evaluation is submitted to Google Classroom.
  • I have completed the unit reflection survey.

Do Now · 5 min

Set up your bridge (or the pieces of it!) on the bench with a printed card showing: team name, truss type, span, mass, max load, load-to-mass ratio. Tidy your bench.

I Do · ~10 min Teacher demonstration

Teacher introduces the award categories:

Ms Gao announces load leaderboard and ratio leaderboard from L20 data.

We Do · ~15 min Guided practice

Gallery walk — 15 min. Every pair stands by their bridge. Class rotates. At each bridge, the building pair gives a 1-minute pitch covering:

  1. What type of truss is it?
  2. Max load?
  3. One thing you're proud of?
  4. One thing you'd do differently?

Voters jot top 3 picks in each category on a voting card.

You Do · ~35 min Independent pair work

Final submissions + reflection + awards (35 min).

  1. Submit final evaluation (Part C) to Google Classroom as PDF. Verify submission.
  2. Complete the unit reflection survey (Google Form).
  3. Vote in award categories.
  4. Ms Gao announces winners. Class applauds. (No physical prizes — just bragging rights and certificates.)
  5. Teacher preview of Term 3 — what's coming next.
You finished Bridge It. Your first summative assessment in high school Technology. Whatever your mark, you've built something that can hold your body weight. That's real.
